Carolbeth Trio:
This CD originally came about when Alan Schilling, Glen Smith, and I discovered an instant and wonderful chemistry as we played. It was supposed to be a demo and something to document our sound for families and friends. Suddenly Sonari Music said they'd like to produce it, and we were on the way to our first marketed CD. The three of us still experience this chemistry when we occasionally play together.

True:
After years of playing regularly with the wonderful Kevin Gianino on drums and Glen Smith on bass, we decided it was time for another trio CD which showcased new perspectives and ideas in our playing. We found a sympathetic, dear man in our producer, Bill Becker, and we were off and running with a new recording. The experience was made totally comfortable by the wonderful help of engineer Billy Engel, his great piano, and beautiful studio. That unison line in "Subconscious Lee" and Glen's original "More or Less" were our biggest challenges here.

New World Harmonica Jazz:
I had always heard of Sandy Weltman-what marvelous, varied musical gifts he had, and what a great person he was. My trio and his group came together at the wedding of a dear friend and colleague. From that chance meeting we began to exchange musical ideas, and Sandy asked us to be his trio on his first jazz recording. The warmth, fun and closeness Sandy, Glen Smith, Kevin Gianino, and I experienced during those recording sessions will never be forgotten. "Spain" and "Groovin' High" definitely put us to the test! Adding the great playing of Dave Black and Brian Casserly in cameos lifted the variety and fun.

I'm All Smiles:
Two years ago Debby Lennon and I were asked by our department chairman, Michael Parkinson at Webster University, to record a track to be added to the Webster promotional CD. Engineer Barry Hufker liked what he heard so much that he wanted to record an entire CD with Debby and me. Some time passed, but this spring the idea surfaced again, and Debby and I decided it was time for her long-overdue CD. We were able to enlist the talents of some of the finest players anywhere, and the result is a true labor of love. It is a combination of many styles and musical sources, each handled magnificently by Debby Lennon, a singer who will touch your soul.
